Brief Summary

Completed both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Birmingham, UK. Have subsequently worked at the University of Western Australia, Perth and the University of Wales, Bangor, UK before joining Curtin University in 2010. My main areas of expertise are in pasture and crop ecology, genetics and agronomy (G by E by M); farming systems analysis; farming saline landscapes and the tolerance of pasture and crop species to the environmental constraints present in saline land; the agronomic development of alternative crops, new pasture species and perennial fodder shrubs. Skills in spatial analysis, geographical information systems and biometrics are used in combination with field, and glasshouse studies.
