Brief Summary

Prof Piyush "Pi" Sharma has more than twenty-five years’ overall experience in industry and academics. Before joining the School of Marketing at Curtin University in Jan 2014, he was serving as Associate Professor (Marketing) and Director (Asian Centre for Branding and Marketing) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He also served in the past as the Deputy Program Director for the Hong Kong MBA program (2009-12) and Associate Dean/Coordinator (Internationalization) for the Faculty of Business (2010-12) at PolyU. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for Journal of Business Research and Journal of Services Marketing, and a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and European Journal of Marketing.

Prof Sharma’s research covers services and international marketing, cross-cultural consumer behavior, counterfeit purchase behavior, self-regulation and regulatory failure, branding and marketing strategy, marketing-finance interface and organizational transformation. His research is published in the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Marketing Management, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing and Journal of Euromarketing, among others.
