Mobile access for email

There are three ways to access your student email on your mobile device:

  • Access your student email in OASIS on Android, iOS or Windows where you will be automatically signed in through the "Open your OASIS email" link.
  • Download and use the Microsoft Outlook mail client on Android, iOS or Windows, which is free for all current students and can be used on up to five devices.
  • If you have the latest iOS software operating on your iPhone, sign in to your student email through the 'Mail' app.

You can use your smart phone to access information in your Office 365 account through Exchange ActiveSync. This connection keeps your mobile phone up to date with your mailbox through a process known as synchronisation.

Setup instructions

Android and Windows:

  1. Download and install Microsoft Outlook from the Play Store
  2. If you have existing accounts, navigate to Settings by opening the menu (the Settings icon is located bottom left corner of the screen)
  3. Enter your email address in the following format: "studentID@student.curtin.edu.au"
    e.g. 12345678@student.curtin.edu.au
  4. Click Continue. You will be taken to a Curtin University sign-in page
  5. Enter your Student ID and OASIS password and click Login
  6. Outlook will re-open and your student email account is now ready to use.

Apple iPhone

  1. Open Mail and click on "Exchange" in the list of account types
  2. Enter your email address in the following format: "studentID@student.curtin.edu.au"
    e.g. 12345678@student.curtin.edu.au
  3. Optionally, enter a short description for the account (e.g. Curtin Student Email)
  4. Tap Next on the upper right corner of the screen
  5. When asked if you would like to "Configure Manually" or "Sign In" > Click Sign In
  6. You will be taken to a Curtin University sign-in page
  7. Enter your Student ID and OASIS password and click Login
  8. Select which features you would like to sync and your student email account is now ready to use.
